As the nation’s largest specialty-based and teaching health center\, it advances health equity for underserved populations. Phase 1 includes 6 clinics\, dental school\, after-hours clinic with imaging\, and a community resource center. The project reused the former bank call center’s core systems to reduce its carbon footprint. AIA CES: 2 LU|HSW. DESCRIPTION:Modernism Week – October will take place October 24-27\, 2024. Smaller in scope than the 11-day festival held annually each February\, the October event offers more than 50 events during 4-days\, including several free and low-cost programs. A hallmark of Modernism Week events are the inspirational and educational tours of neighborhoods\, significant buildings\, and residences. Signature events include Premier Double Decker Architectural Bus Tour\, tours of Frank Sinatra’s Twin Palms estate\, the Palm Springs Modernism Show\, architectural walking and biking tours\, tours of the historic Annenberg Estate at Sunnylands\, parties\, and a special series of compelling and informative talks. A portion of ticket proceeds benefit Modernism Week (a non-profit organization) and other local preservation\, neighborhood\, and community groups.

Also offered are architectural walking\, biking and double-decker bus tours\, tours of the historic Annenberg Estate at Sunnylands\, a classic car show\, garden tours\, a 2-day vintage trailer show\, nightly parties\, and a special series of compelling and informative talks and performances at the Annenberg Theater and at the Modernism Week Theater at CAMP. All events are open to the public\, and many events are free or low cost. \nOf particular note to the AIAIC members is the Albert Frey exhibit at the Palm Springs art museum\, as well as House II tours.
