Leticia Mimila, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, received a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona, including a year abroad in Florence, Italy. She has over fifteen years of architectural experience working on a range of projects, such as commercial, workplace, adaptive/re-use, and science and technology. Some notable projects she has completed are Naples Center, Belmont Point, Long Beach Police, East Division & Juvenile Investigations, and ECAM Secure|CPS Security headquarters. Leticia joined Studio One Eleven this year as a project manager, where she will continue to practice architecture that creates sustainable and vibrant communities.
She also gives back to the profession with her continued support to the California Architects Board as a subject matter expert where she assists in the development, maintenance, administration, validation, and occupational analysis of the architectural licensing examination. She has been a Task Force Member for NCARB Pace of Change in the architecture profession committee and a Board Member for the Jordan High School ACE Advisory Board. She also volunteers her time at her son’s school as a Garden Committee Member. She currently resides in Long Beach with her husband, son, and two dogs. When she’s not working and spending time with her family, she loves to run. She has done several marathons and triathlon events.
